Sophia is the assistant built into HackRisk. She helps you understand the findings
on your account and decide what to do about them, in plain language, so you don't
have to be a security specialist to act on what HackRisk finds.
What Sophia does
- Explains your findings. Ask her what a breach, a vulnerability or a score
means for your business, and what to prioritise.
- Talks you through your score. She can explain what is driving your overall
HackRisk score and which issues are pulling it down the most.
- Suggests what to tackle first. Where a fix carries a risk, such as an outage
or a dependency, she flags that before the instruction, not after it.
- Writes your "Where you stand" summary. The short summary on your dashboard
and on each service page is written by Sophia from your current findings.
How to ask her
- Use the Ask Sophia button that appears on your dashboard and on each service
page. It opens Sophia with that page's context already in view, so you can ask
about what you're looking at.
- Type your question in plain English. For example, "which of these should I deal
with first, and why?" or "what does this dark web breach mean for us?"
What Sophia won't do
Sophia is deliberately careful, because in a security product a confident wrong
answer is worse than no answer.
- She only answers from the findings on your account. If something isn't there,
she'll say so rather than guess a hostname, a score or a date.
- She never invents a vulnerability, a breach or an affected system.
- She can't change anything. She can't run a scan, open a ticket or contact
anyone on your behalf. Where an action is needed, she'll point you to where in
HackRisk to do it.
- She sticks to your security posture. Ask her something unrelated and she'll
say it's outside what she can help with.
A good way to use her
Open a service that needs attention, read its Where you stand summary, then ask
Sophia to expand on the first issue: what it is, why it matters, and the safest way
to close it. Work down the list from there.
